VOR 2018 Conference Materials

We are proud to announce that VOR's 2018 Annual Meeting and Legislative Initiative were a resounding success. Advocates from across the country convened in Washington, D.C. to share their experience and solutions with one another, and to meet in the offices of their elected officials to initiate positive change for their loved ones with I/DD.

We would like to express our gratitude to those who contributed and sponsored our event this year.

We are expecting Representative Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) to introduce a bill that would offer notification and the opportunity to opt-out of class action lawsuits. We should have a bill number for this soon.

Below are the materials we presented in our Hill Visits, in the order in which they appeared in the folders. Many advocates began with "Meet VOR" to introduce Legislative Aides to our organization, then proceeded with the "Ask", the request to cosponsor Rep. Goodlatte's bill.
