VOR 2021 Virtual Legislative Initiative

We focused on Choice and the need to support all residential and employment options, concerns about the DSP crisis, and the need to protect vocational centers and 14(c) wage certificates for people with moderate-severe I/DD and autism. Conference materials are attached below.
The Coronavirus and Individuals with I/DD
The Coronavirus has dominated the news in recent weeks. We wish all of our members and their loved ones the best of health, and urge you to consider the effects this virus may have on long term services and supports, residential facilities, at-home care, day care, and vocational centers.
Several articles have appeared in the news recently that bear on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, medically fragile individuals, and other persons in long-term care.

We are proud to announce that VOR's 2018 Annual Meeting and Legislative Initiative were a resounding success. Advocates from across the country convened in Washington, D.C. to share their experience and solutions with one another, and to meet in the offices of their elected officials to initiate positive change for their loved ones with I/DD.
We would like to express our gratitude to those who contributed and sponsored our event this year.
